So, these are photos of the new house my husband and I bought in Sept. of 09. We are loving having our own home. I love living life with David and accomplishing our dreams as 'Dotsons' together, dreams we talked about when we were 16 and in Loooove. By the way, I love red and turquois together. So we went all out!

Lately, I've been thinking of my life's dreams. I've been thinking how they've been steady/stable my whole life. Getting married, studying music, traveling, writing songs, performing, recording, ministering though music. Even though things around me change my dreams stay the same... After decades, even! As I try my hand at them, and keep trying my hand at them I realize that these things must have been put inside of me when I was being knit together in mother's womb. There's no way I'd put myself in these vulnerable, and costly situations unless I was hardwired to withstand the 'journey' of accomplishing these things for a greater glory. What an honor to endure for this cause. How encouraging to hear of others who've gone before and 'accomplished' what was put inside of them. It spurs me on to complete the task before me! Thanks friends, for your encouragement.

When I graduated High School, ten years ago, we were supposed to fill out this form for our Yearbook. We had to put a quote or saying that meant something to us... I put, "The things that mean the most to us are the memories that we make along the way." Meaning that the big world was at our feet. Life was more about the journey than the destination. My prayer today is that the Lord would remind me to enjoy the journey.

Well Hello Friends!

I'm very excited to finish UnEarthed, just about a month or two left before we master and duplicate. What a great experience. It has been a test of confidence. So far it has been my life's work. I have enjoyed being in creative control of this whole project. I've learned so much and have gained new perspective through this experience. I feel like I have regenerated lost passions... so, I'm excited to say I have been working on a few new projects! And I'm finally committed enough to finishing them that I'm able to tell you all, the fans! One is a book, another a devotional. These are being edited and you'll hear more about these in the upcoming months. I'm also enjoying songwriting for new recording projects. These new albums are more vulnerable and bold proclaiming deep beliefs and convictions. It has been challenging me, but I feel so strongly that I must complete them and they must be put 'out' to be heard. I love the Lord and I love sharing my passion for Him through my music. Thank you for listening and supporting. I will keep you updated on how all of these things take shape in the coming months.

Well, the CD is taking a little longer than expected. With the economy our pocket book has taken a hit and since this is a self produced album... It's just taking longer than expected. If you haven't heard the album you can listen on itunes, Rhapsody, or Napster. I recently got the design for the cover completed :) I can't wait to see it packaged. I still need to duplicate the album and master it.... So, if you know of any professional looking- economic duplication & Mastering places let me know. I really can't wait to put this out on the market. I'm so proud to be able to do this.

I just put 3 of my songs up on 3 different ‘channels’ that you can actually judge. There are lots of channels but my songs are on the Acoustic, Folk, and Singer Songwriter Female category. Hello friends! I am so excited about this post! First I get to thank you all for listening and supporting my music my dream! I have had my music up on myspace for less than a month and almost have 1000 plays!!! Wow! Thanks so much! (www.myspace.com/KaceyDotson)

And yes it is true- I wanted to let you know the album, UnEarthed is officially for sale- on iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody, and Napster! (In 2-3 weeks after all is verified!) I’m so excited! I thought this would be a great way for people to have the music and we didn’t have to do checks in the mail and cds through the mail. I think this way, for now, is more economical for the fans and for myself! Yay for the internet! In all honesty it is still going to be a couple of months ($$$) before we can get the album mastered, & duplicated. So for now this is the fastest way to get the music to YOU! Plus this way you can pick and choose the songs you like and maybe even save yourself a few $$$.

ALSO!!!! There are 3 songs going on the album that have never been heard. They are from The Nashville Sessions! You will only be able to hear them if purchased online at the above mentioned stores or when you actually purchase the album! I hope you are as excited as I am! Enjoy.

Well Hello! I've got an update on the recording process; all the guitar, bass, & piano/key parts are finished!!! This Saturday we start on the vocals, my favorite. I have been working out harmonies and having a great time. I'd like to thank Lee Ellen (http ://leeellenstarks.blogspot.com/) and Jen Rodick (http://www.imagesbyjen.blogspot.com/) for all their encouragement and inspiration. Looking forward to a photoshoot with Jen for the cover/design.

Iwas born in Joplin, Mo on September 14th, 1980. I grew up in the charming city of Carthage, Missouri. I am the second born of four children. My mother and grandfather, who played bluegrass music, instilled in me a love for music and encouraged me to study voice, guitar, and piano. I have an album coming out in April. It is entitled, 'Unearthed.' You can preorder if you'd like. :) If you listen closely you can hear the bluegrass roots in some of the harmonies, and rhythms. My dad instilled deep family values and led the home as the spiritual leader. It is through this I was saved at the age of five and was called into the music ministry when I was twelve at summer camp. I went on to study Music at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. I earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial Music with concentration areas in Voice, Guitar, and Piano. During that time at SBU I was able to study abroad once at Leicester, University in Leicester England and again at New College at Oxford, University in Oxford, England. I also did a mission projects in Los Angeles, Cairo, Egypt and the Sinai Desert. After college I married my life-time love and also Carthage resident David Dotson, who I first met on the track team in Junior High. David and I now live in Ozark, Missouri and are pursiuing ourcareers, and hopefully a family soon. I love being in ministry whether it is leading worship at campfires, churchs, disciple nows, revivals, mission fundraisers or just playing in a coffee shop. I am available for all your church events.
